Coke. The unreal thing
Andy Warhol:
"What's great about this country is America started the tradition where the richest consumers buy essentially the same things as the poorest. You can be watching TV and see Coca-Cola, and you can know that the President drinks Coke, Liz Taylor drinks Coke, and just think, you can drink Coke, too. A Coke is a Coke and no amount of money can get you a better Coke than the one the bum on the corner is drinking. All the Cokes are the same and all the Cokes are good."
All it proves it that the bum at the top is addicted to the same shit as the bum at the bottom. All cokes are the same and all cokes are full of shite. When the world stops being addicted to that crap, the age of consumerism will have passed for good.

Cheers Sally. I'll take a look at it after it has finished downloading on my slow connection. Usual stuff going on at ML and POV. The WTC7 footage raised a bit of excitement but wasn't likely to 'persist' for long knowing the ML editors low tolerance limit for anything concerning 9/11 on the message board. The usual ML/IBC low grade war of attrition continues with occasional sniping from both sides and a bit more than usual recently. Bit rushed for time at the moment so my own output is also relatively slow. I along with Dan have been trying to recruit people for a systematic study of BBC online output during the summer but the response has been zero. Still we have plenty of time and the only way is up. I could try and put this up on the blog for you if blogger will let me. I feel that I owe it to you as one of the handful of regulars. x
