Unionized

Isaac Asimov's simple way to distinguish chemists from non-chemist. Ask them to read aloud the word: unionized.

Non-chemists will pronounce it "union-ized" and chemists will pronounce it "un-ionized."

What if ion should become unionised? Will she thereby become unionised?

Presumably, she would then become uncharged and neutral whereas I prefer to think of her as the free radical she was always meant to be.
