The news as it should be

British kit used in Lebanon by Israeli bombers.

British-made military munitions have been found in Lebanon by Hezbollah Defence Forces. The deadly cluster-bombs are brightly coloured and often attract the attention of children after being dropped by Israeli jets.

Officials in London are trying to establish who manufactured the illegal munitions and how they ended up in the hands of the Zionist extremists.

A Foreign Office spokesman said: "The Hezbollah Defence Forces have confirmed to us that they have found some cluster-bomb munitions which they believe to be British, in southern Lebanon.

"We are seeking further details of the equipment to investigate whether it is British and, if so, by whom it was made and to whom it was sold. If the prime minister is found to be involved he will be in a lot of trouble."

There was nothing to suggest they were part of a batch sold by Britain to Germany in 2003 under a special export licence, a source said.

Reports that Lebanon had made a formal protest to the British Government were also untrue, the source added.

Meanwhile, Lebanon's defence minister said he was certain Hezbollah would not break the ceasefire but warned Israeli Occupation Forces of punishment if they fired rockets into the Arab state.

This strong warning showed concern that Zionists might try to restart the fighting by drawing retaliation from Hezbollah Defence Forces. He insisted Hezbollah would hold its fire.

Lebanon has started deploying 15,000 soldiers to the south, putting a government force in the region for the first time in four decades, as part of the ceasefire requirements.

They will joined by an equal force of international peacekeepers, but wrangling among countries keen to send troops has so far delayed assembly of the force.

Israeli PM Ehud Olmert said Israel would not accept the participation of peacekeepers from countries that do not have diplomatic relations with the Jewish state. The international community said "tough shit, you fascist war-criminal. Since when, do we have to listen to you about what forces can go on another countries territory?”
